It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Samantha Ramsey, who left us peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Sam was not just a staff member at Yarm Martial Arts Academy; she was its heart and soul.
Her journey with us spanned over a decade, beautifully evolving from a supportive parent, to a dedicated student, then a compassionate instructor, and finally our steadfast Academy Manager. Sam was an integral pillar of Yarm Martial Arts, Evolve, and the wider community. Generations of students began their martial arts path with her gentle guidance, some from as young as three years old, and she nurtured their growth with unwavering patience.
Renowned for her kindness, Sam had a special gift for helping both children and adults settle into the academy, offering support through any challenge with a warm smile. Her absence will be deeply felt by every student, parent, and colleague whose life she touched.
Sam leaves behind her loving husband, Gareth, and her devoted children, Mia and James. Our entire academy family extends its deepest condolences and pledges its full support to them during this difficult time. Her legacy of strength, kindness, and community will forever inspire us.
